Ethan's, Delaine inspired quilt..

Last week when Delaine was here she inspired me to make a quilt for Ethan. She helped me pick out the fabric, I cut 9o, 5 inch squares, then she helped me lay them out. I sewed it all together and even made button holes and sewed buttons on the back to hole the pocket together. My sister gave me a kid sized comforter a while back and I decided to make a duvet cover for it that can also be a blanket.

Ethan love to help me do chores around the house. I think the main reason why he likes to help me water in because he gets to play in the water.

noodles

A couple of weeks ago we were at the Pool's and Ethan and his cousins had fun playing in a bowl of noodles dried beans. Since he had so much fun I thought I would get some for our house. Ethan will often grab his cups and digging tools and ask to play with the noodles.

red bumps

These are pictures from our latest ER visit. He started out with just a few bumps and after 3 days they multiplied to several all over his chest. The pictures don't really do bumps justice, but thankfully they didn't bother him at all. He was a happy little guy in the morning! The doctor prescribed him a liquid steroid and in a few days the bumps we all gone.

darts

I found this dart board at a garage sale a few weeks back and we have had a lot of fun playing. Ethan loves to go and get the darts when they fall to the ground. He likes to spectate otherwise and sometimes pretend to throw a dart.

pneumonia

This past Tuesday we took Ethan to the emergency room for hives and found out he has pneumonia! He woke up from his nap with hives all over his body and, what sounded like to me, difficulty breathing. We took he to the hospital right away. After a dose of tylenol and benadryl he was up and walking around and playful again. The doctor wanted to take chest x-rays just to make sure they weren't missing anything, and sure enough they found pneumonia on his lungs. They transferred us to an ER room and started and IV for fluids and antibiotics. Around 7:30 pm they told us we could go home, but to monitor his breathing and temperature. Ethan and I didn't get much sleep the first night. His breathing was still a concern to me on Wednesday, but we had a follow up on Thursday so that made me feel like I could make it 24 more hours. We went in Thursday morning and he wasn't as tight in his chest, but still was concerning to me. He had a good day yesterday and took a long nap. This morning is the first time I feel much better about his breathing. We are going back for another chest x-rayin 5 weeks to make sure the pneumonia is clearing up.

We were out and about yesterday and decided to stop by the fire station for a visit. He wasn't too sure about it all. Maybe when he is a little older he will be more excited to go there. We had fun seeing through his eyes though :)!

We took Ethan to urgent care a few days ago for an ear infection and while we waited he spent his time feeding Kenny his cheerios.

So, Ethan really wanted to play with the ball hanging in Kenny's parents garage and I had good idea a few days later. I hung one from our living room ceiling :). He likes to play with it every once in a while. He especially likes to get up on the end of the couch, take his little bat and swat at it.

Ethan watching the Laker game in his rocker from Grandma and Pop-op Johnson. This rocker was Kenny's dads and then his grandparents had it reupholstered and gave it to Kenny when he was little. Kenny's parents got it out of their attic last weekend and Ethan has enjoyed sitting in it.
