Baby's Room

Well, with the help of Sandy I have started to decorate the baby's room.  The theme is vintage sports.
This is the blanket that the room is centered around.

I painted these to match the blanket.

Half Way There!

Well last week I had my official ultrasound to check measurements and make sure all is well.  It was really neat to be able to see him and how much bigger he is than last time.  He was very active flipping around, yawning, and moving his eyes around.  I have also been able to start to feel him kicking and sometimes he is very active!  I am 21 weeks, half way there!!  Here are a few of the better pictures from that day.

It's a Boy!!!

Well, here is the latest ultrasound picture and if you didn't get by the title, we are having a boy!  We are both really excited, especially Kenny.  He can't wait to do boy things with him :).  My appointment went well and he looks healthy.  He is bout 4 inches head to butt.  In the picture he is facing you.  The arrow is pointing to his mouth.  You can also see his jaw bones, nose bone, and eyes.  We are thankful that all is well with him and we pray for continuous health.

All Wrapped Up

I was taking the sheets off our bed to be washed and she just wouldn't move. I guess she was really tired!

LAPD Graduation

This is Kenny marching in. The weather ended up not being so good so they had to move the graduation inside. They ended up having to cut out a lot of the marching because of it being indoors.

This is Kenny spacing himself with the rest of his squad.

Nap Time with Addie

Well Addie sure did warm up fast to my parents. She is a very cuddly dog and shows it in these pictures below. When I came home from taking my parents to the Flyaway Tuesday morning Addie was wondering all over trying to find my parents. She misses you guys and hope to see you again soon!

Baby Bump

Here is a picture taken of me yesterday. I am starting to get a little baby bump. Everything has been going well and my next doctors appointment is June 3rd. Kenny and I are excited to see the next ultrasound picture because it has been so long. I will be 16 weeks by the next appointment and the last time I was there was at 10 weeks. That seems like a long time and I know the baby will be so much bigger.

Dancing Baby!!!

Well, there he/she is. I am 10 weeks today and we got an official due date today and it is November 7th. Kenny was able to go with me again and we got to see what looks more like a baby and not a ball! The baby was still for the first part of the ultrasound then started to flail it's arms and legs. We saw the flicker of the heartbeat and the umbilical cord too. It was soo neat to see!! In the picture the baby's head is at the bottom and it's arms and leg are in those little nubs you see on the sides and bottom, well top, of the picture. Kenny said it looks like a little teddy bear! As we were leaving I asked Kenny if he wanted to keep a picture of his baby in his wallet? I laughed cause I was making a joke, ya know how dads have actual pictures of their kids and families in their wallet, and Kenny said seriously "Yeah I should, then I can show my buddies at the academy"! My joke kinda flopped!
Tomorrow I go for a more in depth glucose test because my first one was high. The test is over 3 hours and they draw blood every hour. If it comes back high again I will be diagnosed with gestational diabetes. One of the side affects is a LARGE baby. I am doomed between this and the fact that large babies running in my family!
We are very thankful for everything going well and the baby growing. We are amazed by the little miracle growing inside me!

Baby Johnson

Well for those of you who don't know Kenny and I are going to be parents! We are very excited and pray that we have a healthy baby and a good pregnancy! Today I had yet another ultrasound but the difference is I got to come hoe with a picture. I also heard the heartbeat today and barley saw the little, and I mean little, flicker on the monitor today! For those of you who haven't looked at an ultrasound in a while the baby is between the little markers in the picture, along with a flicker for the heartbeat!

A Day at the Park!

Last Sunday Kenny, Addie and I met Dad and the Waymeyer clan at the park half way between where we live. We ate at In-n-Out then headed on over to the park for a couple of hours. The weather was very nice in the sun and a little windy but we all had a great time. It was so good to see you Dad!

Quilling!

These are some of the ornaments I got for Christmas from Kenny's Aunt Lisa. It is called quilling and it is paper that she curls and makes them into objects. These along with other ornaments I get from her for Christmas every year. It is my absolute favorite thing to open! I love homemade ornaments and especially the ones she "quills"!

Caribbean

Well it sure is good to be home and I am sure Kenny will agree :) I left for the Caribbean on the 12th of January. We arrived in NY and left on the 13th at 7 p.m. We sailed right past Lady Liberty on the Queen Mary 2 with the QE2 and Queen Victoria right behind us. There was a firework spectacle at Ellis Island and it was just beautiful! It was the only time in history because they are retiring the QE2! We arrived at our first island Wednesday morning. Our stops included Tortola, St. Lucia, St. Thomas, St. Kitts, and Barbados. I had a blast at all of our ports. I did a hike in the rain forest, rode ATV's, rode a jet ski, did a zip line, and a bus tour of one of the islands. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous! The weather was warm and a little on the humid side because of the rain forests. I had a very relaxing time on the ship too. I was at the spa several times and had 3 massages all in 10 days! I really felt like a queen! I had all the food I could eat and I sure did take advantage of it! :) We got back to NY on Wednesday and stayed 2 blocks from Time Square! It was so neat to see the hustle and bustle of NY! We went to the Empire State Building and saw the sky line where the Twin Towers used to stand! On friday night we went to see Wicked and it was really great! It is kinda like what happened before the house fell on the Wicked Witch of the West. It all was a great experience but would have been better if Kenny could have come. I really started to miss him and I know it was hard on him to be responsible for EVERYTHING at home! I am now on my wind down and in a few months will be looking forward to Ireland in July!
