Dancing Baby!!!

Well, there he/she is. I am 10 weeks today and we got an official due date today and it is November 7th. Kenny was able to go with me again and we got to see what looks more like a baby and not a ball! The baby was still for the first part of the ultrasound then started to flail it's arms and legs. We saw the flicker of the heartbeat and the umbilical cord too. It was soo neat to see!! In the picture the baby's head is at the bottom and it's arms and leg are in those little nubs you see on the sides and bottom, well top, of the picture. Kenny said it looks like a little teddy bear! As we were leaving I asked Kenny if he wanted to keep a picture of his baby in his wallet? I laughed cause I was making a joke, ya know how dads have actual pictures of their kids and families in their wallet, and Kenny said seriously "Yeah I should, then I can show my buddies at the academy"! My joke kinda flopped!
Tomorrow I go for a more in depth glucose test because my first one was high. The test is over 3 hours and they draw blood every hour. If it comes back high again I will be diagnosed with gestational diabetes. One of the side affects is a LARGE baby. I am doomed between this and the fact that large babies running in my family!
We are very thankful for everything going well and the baby growing. We are amazed by the little miracle growing inside me!

Baby Johnson

Well for those of you who don't know Kenny and I are going to be parents! We are very excited and pray that we have a healthy baby and a good pregnancy! Today I had yet another ultrasound but the difference is I got to come hoe with a picture. I also heard the heartbeat today and barley saw the little, and I mean little, flicker on the monitor today! For those of you who haven't looked at an ultrasound in a while the baby is between the little markers in the picture, along with a flicker for the heartbeat!

A Day at the Park!

Last Sunday Kenny, Addie and I met Dad and the Waymeyer clan at the park half way between where we live. We ate at In-n-Out then headed on over to the park for a couple of hours. The weather was very nice in the sun and a little windy but we all had a great time. It was so good to see you Dad!

Quilling!

These are some of the ornaments I got for Christmas from Kenny's Aunt Lisa. It is called quilling and it is paper that she curls and makes them into objects. These along with other ornaments I get from her for Christmas every year. It is my absolute favorite thing to open! I love homemade ornaments and especially the ones she "quills"!

Caribbean

Well it sure is good to be home and I am sure Kenny will agree :) I left for the Caribbean on the 12th of January. We arrived in NY and left on the 13th at 7 p.m. We sailed right past Lady Liberty on the Queen Mary 2 with the QE2 and Queen Victoria right behind us. There was a firework spectacle at Ellis Island and it was just beautiful! It was the only time in history because they are retiring the QE2! We arrived at our first island Wednesday morning. Our stops included Tortola, St. Lucia, St. Thomas, St. Kitts, and Barbados. I had a blast at all of our ports. I did a hike in the rain forest, rode ATV's, rode a jet ski, did a zip line, and a bus tour of one of the islands. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous! The weather was warm and a little on the humid side because of the rain forests. I had a very relaxing time on the ship too. I was at the spa several times and had 3 massages all in 10 days! I really felt like a queen! I had all the food I could eat and I sure did take advantage of it! :) We got back to NY on Wednesday and stayed 2 blocks from Time Square! It was so neat to see the hustle and bustle of NY! We went to the Empire State Building and saw the sky line where the Twin Towers used to stand! On friday night we went to see Wicked and it was really great! It is kinda like what happened before the house fell on the Wicked Witch of the West. It all was a great experience but would have been better if Kenny could have come. I really started to miss him and I know it was hard on him to be responsible for EVERYTHING at home! I am now on my wind down and in a few months will be looking forward to Ireland in July!

Family Vacation

Every 2 years my whole family gets together for a vacation. It is a lot of fun because this is the only time we are all together. This year I got to plan it. The night we arrived my Dad surprised his daughters and their husbands with tickets to the Packer Viking game! That was a lot of fun. A couple of the other activities we did was the Children's Discovery Museum and Edwards Apple Orchard. This was the first family vacation we were home in the fall and the weather was wonderful!

New Job!!!!

Well, It's official. I have officially accepted a job with the Los Angeles County Fire Department Wildland Division. We are very excited about this opportunity. I have been training almost everyday and am hopefully getting in good shape. The Academy starts Oct. 22 and runs for 4 weeks. It is a very challenging academy, so your prayers are very welcome. I also recieved a conditional job offer with the LAPD. So if for some reason the Fire Department doesn't work out, I have that to fall back on.
We will keep everyone updated as things unfold.

Surprise!

Kenny surprised me with a birthday party Saturday night! It was my first surprise party, and I was really surprised. Kenny has a hard time surprising me. I guess I take after my Dad. Kenny "hired" Kellie to put it all together and she did a very good job. Thanks Kel! We had Stone Fire for dinner and played a ring toss game, stick the nose one the clown, and broke a pinata. Here are a few pictures from that night for all of you to enjoy.

Addie

Here are a few more pictures of Addie! She is growing so fast! We are still in the process of potty training her, but it is going a lot better. We are understanding eachother better. Last Wednesday Kenny took her out around 2 in the morning, came back in and went right back to bed. I was up getting a drink of water and she was out with me. I noticed a few bumps on her back and got Kenny up (this was the night he was supose to have 8 hours of sleep because of his polygraph test) to check it out. We thought she was having an allergic reaction, but were not sure, untill we looked at her face. Her left eye was almost swollen shut! Kenny called an emergency vet number and they told us to give her children's benadryl. So off to the store I went! I slept with Addie in the living room, well she really didn't sleep. At 6 she had hives from her neck all the way down her back legs, she had been crying for the past 4 hours and was very uncomfortable. I called an after hours vet and she said to bring her in. We were home around 7:30 and she slept for a couple of hours from the shots. I gave her more benadryl at noon and was monitoring her breathing to make sure she was still alive! From 2 till 6 all the hives had come back and she seemed in more discomfort than earlier. We took her back to our normal vet and gave her a strong steroid shot and some oral medication. By the next morning all of the hives were gone! I slept on the air matress the next two nights so she would not disturb Kenny.Kenny had to rescheduled his polyraph 'cause of lack of sleep. Her and I are both catching up on our sleep!:) All is well now and she has most all of her energy back!
